Creator briefs that get a yes, and content you can use

One page, three sections, and usage rights agreed before anyone presses record. The brief we send, explained line by line.

Why most briefs are ignored

Creators receive briefs that read like legal documents with a mood board attached. Ten pages of brand history, a script, and a list of fourteen mandatory phrases. The result is content that sounds like an ad read, which is the one thing their audience scrolls past.

A creator's value is that people trust how they talk. A good brief protects that.

The one-page brief

Ours has three sections and fits on a single screen.

  • The truth. One thing about the product that is real and specific. Not a slogan.
  • The musts. Two or three at most: the disclosure line, a claim that needs exact wording, the link.
  • The freedom. Everything else. Format, setting, tone and opening are the creator's call.

Rights and disclosure, up front

Before filming we agree in writing how the content can be used: on the creator's channel, on the brand's channels, and in paid placements, each with a time limit. Paid usage costs more, and it should. Asking for it afterwards is slower and sours the relationship.

Every paid or gifted post carries a clear disclosure, placed where people will see it. We write the exact wording into the agreement and check it before the post goes live.

Paying fairly and on time

We pay a flat fee for the content rather than hoping free product is enough, and we pay within fourteen days of posting. Creators talk to each other. Brands that pay late find their emails answered slowly.

The reward for doing this well is the second collaboration. In our sample programs, repeat partners outperform first-time posts by a wide margin, because the creator's audience has seen the product before.

Give creators one truth, a short list of musts and real freedom, then sort rights and payment before the shoot.
